Cappelletti Woodworking

John Cappelletti won the 1973 Heisman Trophy while playing football at Penn State University. After his college career, he was selected in the first round of the 1974 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams.
By the end of his playing days, John had played 10 seasons in the NFL, six with the Los Angeles Rams and four with the San Diego Chargers.

Upon retiring, John settled in Laguna Niguel, California with his wife and four sons. In the years since leaving the NFL, John has been involved in a few endeavors including construction, real estate, biotech, and classic car industries. During these years, John also spent countless hours coaching numerous youth sports team's while his sons were growing up.

Although John's father, also named John, was an accomplished carpenter and all-around tradesman, John's passion growing up was always sports. And as much as John Sr. tried to pass on some of his skills to his son, John often put in the minimum amount of time his dad required before heading off to the sports fields.

Once John's own boys were grown and on their own, he decided to tap into his roots and at the age of 55 he enrolled in a basic woodworking / furniture making course at a local community college. 
John often says it was the best $99 he ever spent!

Over the past 15+ years, John has spent countless hours
learning and practicing the many different techniques of woodworking and furniture making.
However, he feels most comfortable when designing and turning a new piece on the wood lathe. 
Over the ensuing years he created many pieces which he often gave away as gifts to family and friends.
Although John has created several commissioned pieces for individual clients, these are the first pieces John has ever made available
for sale to the public.

 

Each of these exquisite home decor pieces are both
designed by and 100% hand-crafted by John Cappelletti. 
Each piece comes with a "Letter of Authenticity" hand-signed by John Cappelletti attesting to this as well as a brief description of the
materials used to create the piece.
Each piece also includes an engraved metal plate with the
JRC Cappelletti Woodworking logo affixed to the bottom
of the piece for added authenticity.
